A Brief Conversation

Then so, it makes her wonder;
The pretty face, the bartender.
The distressed and blank look of lost;
As if she has heard and seen a ghost.

I don’t think it’s really that bad.
Yet I look away like we never had,
this brief conversation,
a topic that makes her so sad.
You ask me so I say;
I don’t have to spend my words, you know.
You don’t think it’s crazy like
the world wasn’t round not too long ago.
Then so, it makes him ponder;
The so-called modern warrior.
With inflated veins on his tight fists;
As if he’s just met the devil’s beasts.
I don’t think it’s really that bad.
Yet I look away like we never had,
this brief conversation,
a topic that gets him so mad.
You want opinions, so I say.
There’s really nothing against you, you know.
You don’t think we're blind like
the world was before it met Van Gogh?
Oh! not the same bartender;
The mellow face, a believer.
I hope a radiant smile will make her fine;
As I may still need another glass of wine.
I don’t think it’s really that bad.
I hope this big tip should make her glad,
to forget the conversation,
exchange that we shouldn’t have had.
Don’t ask me, so I won’t say.
Maybe for you, it’s better that way, you know.
Let's think it’s crazy like,
at the world’s end, sun doesn’t need to glow.
It's better that way,
It's better that way,
It's better that way.
The sun doesn’t have to glow.
